The Democrats just do not respect life.

On Nov. 4, the people of Virginia sent a loud and clear message to elected officials in Congress: They want leadership that will bring about real change in Washington.

The media recently reported that President George W. Bush is trying to place some of his appointees in career Civil Service positions.

I wish to thank reporter Allison Brophy Champion for treating the subject of hunting varmints in a factual manner and not letting emotion (in either direction) color the article (“Varmint hunters: It’s on the shooter,” Tuesday).

This letter is in response to the one from Melissa Hyatt published in the Star-Exponent Nov. 9 (“Disappointed by Halloween at Depot.”)

Please, people of Culpeper, let’s do the right thing and start making these things happen.

I do not agree with the salary for the superintendent in Culpeper County because they have less of a responsibility than other schools in our surrounding area.

The CFA Hurricanes cheerleaders (under Coach Christy Edwards) brought in the most food during the food drive about six weeks ago. They won $125 to have a team party.

The town of Culpeper is considering updating its noise ordinance. For eight years now, I have battled a certain fast food restaurant on this very issue.
