I don’t think most people have the money to go to a doctor every time they get a cold so I guess the next thing is to have a school for just the sick kids.

Just having relocated to the Culpeper area from Pennsylvania a little over a year ago, my husband and I aren’t aware of much of the history of the area. 

I strongly urge the residents of Culpeper to vote May 6 for Pat Baker for the Town Council.

There are important choices to be made in this Culpeper Town Council election, with issues facing our town such as consolidation, immigration and boundary line adjustments.

I was taken aback by your “Our view” editorial from April 16 (“SB seemed unresponsive with calendar”).

Who now represents us, the small people without lots of money or influence, who don’t own businesses, etc.? This is now the real democracy of the 21st century.

Although the dog was on a leash, there was no one in control of the dog.

Our elected School Board has worked diligently over the past months, with the school administration, to get to a bare bones budget request.

I think the School Board made a valiant effort to whittle its budget increase down from $17 million to just $6 million.

The article stated one of the firefighters refused treatment for first-degree burns. That should not be the firefighter’s call.
