Why we need a noise ordinance
The town of Culpeper is considering updating its noise ordinance. For eight years now, I have battled a certain fast food restaurant on this very issue.

Real estate firm helped foster holiday spirit
I want to thank the Realtors at Montague Miller & Company for their generosity and patriotic spirit.
Bailout bill also helped Chinese investment in U.S.
As an avid supporter of constitutional government, I now look forward to seeing how President-elect Barack Obama deals with the after-math of a Bush administration, which saw the Constitution as something to be trampled upon!

Random thoughts after the election
Now that the election is over, I won’t have to try to find a part-time labor job to pay the $8,000 a year for our health insurance.

I was very, very dissappointed in the trick-or-treating this year at the Depot.
Kaine should re-study history of commonwealth
I found Gov. Tim Kaine’s comments in your paper on Nov. 6 stating that “Ol’ Virginny is dead” to be disturbing and divisive.
Did anyone think about the babies before voting?
There is one thing that should be thought about, however, and that is all the aborted babies that will never have a choice.

Multiple designs for pennies is not a very wise idea
With pennies costing more to make than they are worth, why is the government trying to get everyone to hoard more of them by releasing four different versions of the Lincoln cent in 2009?

I am canceling my subscription to your paper. The decision has been a long time coming, but the final straw was the way Tuesday’s paper was wrapped in a political advertisement.
