The radical Obama and Biden

The non-partisan National Journal scores senators each year on the totality of their economic, defense and foreign policy votes to rate how “liberal” they are.

Sen. Barack Obama has the highest score of all of the 100 senators. 1

Joe Biden is the eighth-highest scorer.

To put it in perspective, both Obama and Biden scored far higher than the only self-described Socialist in the Senate, Bernie Sanders of Vermont, who had the 12th- highest score. 2

On practically every issue, Obama and Biden have political objectives that are radical and repugnant to most Americans.

Obama voted against a bill that would permit juries to consider the death penalty for gang members who murder to advance the gang’s interest. 3

Both Obama and Biden have voted against making English our official language. 4

At a campaign event in Georgia, Obama told the crowd that “instead of worrying about whether immigrants can learn English — they’ll learn English — you need to make sure your child can speak Spanish.”  5

Many people think some gun control is appropriate, but Obama believes in total gun control: He doesn’t think you should own a gun at all.

When a questionnaire from the Independent Voters of Illinois asked Obama if he would “ban the manufacture, sale and possession of handguns,” he responded “yes.”

Obama told John Lott Jr., a senior research scientist at the University of Maryland, “I don’t believe that people should be able to own guns.”  6

As to same-sex marriages,  Biden said during the Oct. 2 vice presidential debate: “Look, in an Obama-Biden administration, there will be absolutely no distinction from a constitutional standpoint or a legal standpoint between a same-sex and a heterosexual couple.

“We do support making sure that committed couples in a same-sex marriage are guaranteed the same constitutional benefits as it relates to their property rights, their rights of visitation, their rights to insurance, their rights of ownership as heterosexual couples do.”  7

And Obama published a letter on his Web site earlier this year, stating: “I support the complete repeal of the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) — a position I have held since before arriving in the U.S. Senate.

“While some say we should repeal only part of the law, I believe we should get rid of that statute altogether.

“Federal law should not discriminate in any way against gay and lesbian couples, which is precisely what DOMA does. I have also called for us to repeal ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell,’ and I have worked to improve the Uniting American Families Act so we can afford same-sex couples the same rights and obligations as married couples in our immigration system.” 8

Sen. Obama’s repeal of DOMA would strip away the states’ ability to choose whether or not to recognize same-sex marriage ceremonies held in another state.

His repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” would take away the military’s ability to consider the impact a person’s homosexual status or activities has on their military service.

And his last suggestion would grant even a temporary immigrant in the U.S. the ability to bring in their homosexual partner under the “Family Unity Program.” 9

When he was in the Illinois State Senate, Obama voted against the “Induced Infant Liability Act” requiring medical care for babies who survive an abortion. The bill came up twice in the Judiciary Committee on which he served. CBS News reported Obama voted “present” in 2001 and “no” in 2002. 10

Why would Obama not allow abortion survivors to be given medical attention?

This is what he said during the Illinois State Senate debate in March 2001: “It would essentially bar abortions because the equal protection clause does not allow somebody to kill a child and if this was a child then this would be an anti-abortion statute.” 11

If only they knew, the vast majority of Americans would consider Obama and Biden far too radical for their tastes.

rjma:  I’ve checked a lot of Mr. Sharman’s footnotes, and they do support what he says.  Whether or not you like it is another matter.  Maybe you need to check more than one.  Maybe you should support with footnotes the things you say about Mr. Sharman.  I’ve asked you several times to, and have not seen one yet.  Why do you find it pitiful?  What do you base your comments on, feelings or facts?  Why do you require Mr. Sharman to find “nice” things to say about McCain based on saying something negative about his competitor?  Is it wrong to expose the truth about a competitor?

Smooty: First of all, you premise you questions with words I did not say, like “ALL” and that I condemn mothers because they are not married.  Lets get to the facts—The majority of people in our prisons or in serious troubles when growing up, are from a single parent household.  Without violating the “privacy” law, I know most of them in this area who are supported by your tax dollars.  I understand their financial struggles and how hard it is to get through their days, both financially and emotionally, with raising children alone.  However, I also listen to their discussions with one another, and with me; and they know their soap shows, and many of the evening shows too that they dare not miss.  But I see their missed opportunities to both save money (i.e. hand out clothes to dry - it saves $50 a month), and spend time helping their children with school and other teachings for life instead of TV.

It’s not an assumption, condemnation or judgment, just the truth.  Children of divorce or a single parent household all have one thing in common - “rejection”, whether or not they have daily financial struggles.  (Many adopted children have the same feelings of rejection as well and they have 2 parent homes typically).  Some parents don’t even realize it, until their child’s in high school or even grown, but sooner or later these kids face the anger of rejection.  Kids understand if Dad had to be away a lot for his work, or even if he was dead.  But while you teach them all the ways to get along with others in life, and somehow, even if unwanted by the single parent, they are “left”; they can’t stop the anger that goes with the questions until resolved.  And that can take years.  Raising a child is over within a few years, and we don’t get to do it again.

I won’t quote all the scriptures I know, in regards to rearing children, as there are too many to put here, but I will encourage you to read through Proverbs at least 3 times a year.

I didn’t condemn unmarried mothers!  I love them and have many within my own family!!  But I’ve counseled each one because they “feel” condemned or guilty and that presents another whole set of problems for their children because of what they do in response to that guilt, that I don’t have time to get into today.

Obama is the last thing we need in the presidency or anywhere in government for that matter. He’s a proven lying sleezebag and his wife is a flake. Don’t 20 years of affiliation with a hate mongering preacher and long term friendship with a domestic terrorist couple say enough about his philosophical orientation and his character? Would he even be in public life were it not for the disfunctional urban Negro culture that is his primary power base?
I see in his past affiliations, statements and voting record (what there is of it) much reason to fear that an Obama adminstration’s agenda for America would entail a shift of governing philosophy toward the radical left, enabled by the agenda driven judiciary that he will most certainly push through a Democrat congress. Accepting comprimise of our constitutional rights, beginning but not ending with 1st and 2nd ammendments,(fairness doctrine and “gun safety” legislation, respectively) will become the new patriotism. His brand of “HOPE” when subjected to scrutiny is a socialistic formula for a malignant intrusion of government into the way most white middle class Americans are accustomed to negociating their lives. Dr. King’s dream could well morph into a bloody nightmare as his duped supporters, particularly working whites, currently intoxicated by his flamboyant immatation of substance awaken to real life in Obamaworld.

McCain is no prize, but Obamamamma will take us where we don’t want to go.

OrdinaryWoman: why do you assume that it’s so hard for ALL single mothers to get through their day? Isn’t it possible that they are managing just fine? And why do you assume that they’re too busy watching TV to teach their children? How can you even make that assumption? Why condemn a mother because she is unmarried—and for no other reason? You don’t know the circumstances. “Judge not lest ye be judged” (Matthew 7:1).

Mike, I last time I checked one of your footnotes, it didn’t support your statement at all. Why would I not think that what you have presented here is just another in a series of distorted depictions of the current views of Mr. Obama. It is pitiful that you can’t find anything nice to say about McCain.  All you can do is dig up dirt on his competitor.

These true concerns are for a reason…and that is that without Michael’s concerns, as well as the majority of other American’s concerns on these issues, families will continue to deteriorate, thus our society, and thus our country.  I know it’s hard on single Mom’s to see past the day they’re trying to get through, but if you can take the time instead of a TV show, to look in your children’s faces and see the next generation to run our country, you might think about how to get through the day with a little more teaching of these kinds of concerns (or morals).

Now we see Michael’s true concerns!!  I knew he would get back to his pet issues of abortion/gays/single moms.  He has all kinds of references on this one.  He gives backhanded support to McCain and provides no references?
