The radical Obama and Biden

The non-partisan National Journal scores senators each year on the totality of their economic, defense and foreign policy votes to rate how “liberal” they are.
Sen. Barack Obama has the highest score of all of the 100 senators. 1
Joe Biden is the eighth-highest scorer.
To put it in perspective, both Obama and Biden scored far higher than the only self-described Socialist in the Senate, Bernie Sanders of Vermont, who had the 12th- highest score. 2
On practically every issue, Obama and Biden have political objectives that are radical and repugnant to most Americans.
Obama voted against a bill that would permit juries to consider the death penalty for gang members who murder to advance the gang’s interest. 3
Both Obama and Biden have voted against making English our official language. 4
At a campaign event in Georgia, Obama told the crowd that “instead of worrying about whether immigrants can learn English — they’ll learn English — you need to make sure your child can speak Spanish.” 5
Many people think some gun control is appropriate, but Obama believes in total gun control: He doesn’t think you should own a gun at all.
When a questionnaire from the Independent Voters of Illinois asked Obama if he would “ban the manufacture, sale and possession of handguns,” he responded “yes.”
Obama told John Lott Jr., a senior research scientist at the University of Maryland, “I don’t believe that people should be able to own guns.” 6
As to same-sex marriages, Biden said during the Oct. 2 vice presidential debate: “Look, in an Obama-Biden administration, there will be absolutely no distinction from a constitutional standpoint or a legal standpoint between a same-sex and a heterosexual couple.
“We do support making sure that committed couples in a same-sex marriage are guaranteed the same constitutional benefits as it relates to their property rights, their rights of visitation, their rights to insurance, their rights of ownership as heterosexual couples do.” 7
And Obama published a letter on his Web site earlier this year, stating: “I support the complete repeal of the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) — a position I have held since before arriving in the U.S. Senate.
“While some say we should repeal only part of the law, I believe we should get rid of that statute altogether.
“Federal law should not discriminate in any way against gay and lesbian couples, which is precisely what DOMA does. I have also called for us to repeal ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell,’ and I have worked to improve the Uniting American Families Act so we can afford same-sex couples the same rights and obligations as married couples in our immigration system.” 8
Sen. Obama’s repeal of DOMA would strip away the states’ ability to choose whether or not to recognize same-sex marriage ceremonies held in another state.
His repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” would take away the military’s ability to consider the impact a person’s homosexual status or activities has on their military service.
And his last suggestion would grant even a temporary immigrant in the U.S. the ability to bring in their homosexual partner under the “Family Unity Program.” 9
When he was in the Illinois State Senate, Obama voted against the “Induced Infant Liability Act” requiring medical care for babies who survive an abortion. The bill came up twice in the Judiciary Committee on which he served. CBS News reported Obama voted “present” in 2001 and “no” in 2002. 10
Why would Obama not allow abortion survivors to be given medical attention?
This is what he said during the Illinois State Senate debate in March 2001: “It would essentially bar abortions because the equal protection clause does not allow somebody to kill a child and if this was a child then this would be an anti-abortion statute.” 11
If only they knew, the vast majority of Americans would consider Obama and Biden far too radical for their tastes.

Thanks to all that have commented. It is nice to get feedback from all people, regardless of race. To defend myself, I never said lawyers didn’t cheat, lie or overcharge. I said that Michelle wasn’t a flake. That’s all I said. Secondly, I don’t have any racial hate… I just wanted to know why you felt the need to put out there that your husband’s best friend is black, what does that have to do with the election? Maybe I should tell you that more than half of my friends are white, would that really make a difference? I have never blamed white people for anything that has happened in my life… are you insinuating that black people do. It sounds like you need a wake up call OrdinaryWoman. You keep saying that you are not stereotyping “black people” but what are you doing… first, we are single moms watching soaps and now we are blaming white people for everything. It sounds like in between all the family get togethers with your husband’s best “black” friend, you need to sit and listen, and get a dose of reality from growing up African-American. Chachi82… you were on the fence because you wanted to be on the fence, don’t blame my thoughts for making you vote for McCain. I never told anyone to vote for Obama… I simply said keep it fair and keep the race card out of it. I guess I should get back to watching my soaps, and taking care of my 5 kids. Waiting on my food stamps and blaming white people for everything… I’m sure that’s what you are thinking Ordinary Woman. Enjoy your day folks, mine will be blessed.

ordinarywoman there are a lot of cliches and buzzwords in your postings. I am going to say up front that I bet you have NOT checked a lot of Sharman’s references and that if you know a lot about him (like I do) you would know why he can’t get elected to any office in Culpeper County.

1cie,
So your saying lawyers are good people now? They don’t lie, cheat, or over charge people? So when you think about it…if Obama is elected our country will be run by lawyers. Obama, Michelle, Biden. WOW! I was on the fence of who to vote for but now that you’ve put this into perspective for me I am def. voting for McCain. Obama won’t raise our taxes…he’ll just raise our lawyer fees! God help us with developing lawsuits against hospitals for making us wait 10 hours to 2 days because of the federal government healthcare system. We won’t be able to see a doctor or afford a lawyer.
Voting Obama is SMART!

1Cie, You are the one with racial hate. And you use it to blame everything on white people. I guess you believe the same way Rev. Wright does, huh?
Our non-racial attitude toward Obama is layed out to all you blacks with a chip on your shoulder, not because it has anything to do with Obama running for President, which is precisely what we’re trying to say, but because we’ve already seen blacks and Obama himself use the race card. You used the race card, we said don’t…that’s not the reason we don’t want him in office. The only reason I would use his color has nothing to do with the color, but because of where 1/2 his lineage is from is not our country. I don’t think being 1/2 American and 1/2 Kenyan makes for a full-blooded American—-sorry, along with his radical friends, it is scary to us Americans who know how much his father’s heritage hates Americans. I didn’t call him any names that was not true, and I think his wife has a good education, but she’s just as tied to Rev. Wright and Father Flaeger as her husband is. And there are already too many lawyers in Washington.
I highly disagree with the personal sin that McCain committed against his first wife. But I also accept his repentance for it, as does his first wife. Just like Americans accepted Clinton’s bad behavior, once he was honest and sorry. But that is between the two of them, and is much more personal than who your backers are when you’re running for President.

I believe that Obama’s race IS the issue. I don’t understand especially when he is African and Caucasian. I am sick of whites always trying to defend themselves with “my best friend” or “my husband’s best friend” is black. SO WHAT? What does that have to do with Obama running for president? I could care less who you vote for… just keep it fair. Don’t call him incompetent and his wife a flake (she is a lawyer( and worked hard to be one… how judgmental. Especially when McCain left his loving wife for a young rich heiress? I appreciate all that he did for this country, but being a POW doesn’t qualify him anymore than Obama being black does. Sarah Palin… it amazes me that you want to put your confidence in her… if she was black with five kids (one pregnant and one with down syndrome)... she would be eaten alive. The double standards kill me in this town, state, country. Please keep it FAIR!

Very well said. Most dems keep linking McCain to Bush. He might have driven our economy into the ground but atleast were alive and breathing! I link Obama to Ayers, Wright, Khalidi, Rezko, Emil Jones Jr, and Rev. Pfleger. These associations of Obama’s don’t care about America, they hate America. I’ll take Bush as a link anyday!

Copper: Thank you for saying it so well. My husband’s best friends is a wonderful black man. These two talk everyday, and I mean EVERYDAY including weekends, they work together, play together, and our families love one another deeply. And this friend also questions “Obama’s” years of friendships with questionable people. We like what Obama has to say, but we can’t trust that he’ll get it done, like healthcare, as the leading economist say that McCain’s healthcare is actually more profitable for families when it’s all said and done.

Obama’s race is not the issue. There are plenty of black Senators, Congressmen, Governors and Mayors in the US. The issue is attending a Church that promotes racism and anti-Americanism on a daily basis.Giving an award to Louis Farrakhan is like giving one to David Duke, racist is racist. Close ties such as dispersing money for and being friends with terrorist William Ayers. His own racist statements in reference to the white race in the two books he has written. The $800,000 in donations he received from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, before they were bankrupted. These should be reason enough for any person, especially whites, to question this man’s motives and his principles. I don’t think any person would get elected to office with this much questionable behavior and associations. Do you think if John McCain had these associations, and had made statements about the black race as Obama has about the white race that he would even be running for office? Better think hard before casting that vote for a radical racist as our next President. Obama is certainly not Michael Steele or Colin Powell in any stretch.

Culpeper is a trip!! Sounds like we know that we need a change but don’t give it to the black man because we haven’t investigated how he ties his shoe and if it’s correct or not to me. Our nation is so messed up and we wonder why our kids do things or end up on the wrong side of the fence . . . look/listen to parents/elders who know nothing but undercover hatred. Are we that blind and afraid that there might be a man different than you who might know a little more than you and might have to tell you what to do? Ummmm . . . your kids just might grow up appreciating a “brother” with power in a suit! Get off of it Culpeper it is time for a change!!!!
