School Board to discuss soft costs, personnel tonight

The Culpeper County School Board will reconvene for its regularly scheduled monthly work session tonight.
The meeting is scheduled to begin around 6:15 p.m. at Central Office inside the Colin B. Owens Conference Room, 450 Radio Lane.
The topics up for discussion include updates on construction soft costs for Eastern View High and Yowell Elementary schools, Culpeper Schools Foundation, school uniforms, code of conduct, Culpeper County High School master plan, options for Yowell regarding a possible delayed opening, year-end financials and operating budget process improvement ideas for fiscal year 2010.
The Culpeper Schools Foundation is an organization with a primary goal to help “supplement the efforts of the school division to enhance professional development opportunities for educators.”
The board’s closed session meeting involves discussion about personnel assignments relative to the 10-school system.
