The Culpeper Chapter of the Virginia Conservative Action PAC will host a public event Tuesday evening to give local residents an opportunity to address any issues facing Culpeper.
Culpeper Chairman Donald Rakes said this is a chance for citizens to express their concerns and listen to their representatives discuss how they are working to improve Culpeper.
VCAP is a conservative grassroots organization that recruits, assists and supports conservative candidates for public office, according to its Web site.
The event starts at 6:30 p.m. at the Germanna Community College Daniel Technology Center in Culpeper.
Guest speakers include Culpeper Commonwealth’s Attorney Gary Close, Board of Supervisor Chairman William Chase, Virginia State Police Capt. Michael Spivey and Division Commander Capt. Rick Jenkins of the Bureau of Criminal Investigations, Sheriff Jim Branch and Sgt. Kenny Dove of the Virginia Department of Game and Fisheries.
“The purpose is to have the people meet their representatives,” Rakes said Sunday morning. “The theme is like the State of the Union speech only it’s for Culpeper.”
