Congressman Eric Cantor, R-Richmond, stops by the Piedmont Wednesday for a campaign visit in Orange.
Cantor, who represents Orange, Culpeper and Madison counties along with the rest of Virginia’s 7th District in the U.S. House of Representatives, is up for re-election to a fifth term in November.
Democratic candidate Anita Hartke, a Culpeper County real-estate broker, is challenging him.
At his stop Wednesday in Orange, Cantor will hold a roundtable discussion with the town and county’s elected officials and staff. The Congressman will talk about what is happening in D.C. and give local updates on economic development, tourism, education, safety and security, according to a news release from Cantor’s office.
Wednesday’s event will be held at 2 p.m. in the Gordon Building at 112 W. Main St., Orange.
