Police say a Rapidan man is hospitalized after being attacked in his yard Tuesday night by at least two others.
Sheriff’s Office spokesman Sgt. Jim Fox said deputies were called to a home in the 11000 block of Wharton Lane around 9:15 p.m.
When they arrived, Fox said the unidentified 48-year-old victim told authorities that two or three men had attacked him in the yard. Fox said the victim didn’t know who the people were and was unable to give a description.
“It was a rather severe attack,” Fox said. He said the victim was taken to Culpeper Regional Hospital for internal and head injuries, then transferred to a Charlottesville hospital.
Fox said anyone with information about the case should contact Investigator James Mack at 727-7523 or Crime Solvers at 727-0300.
