A 22-year-old man will spend three years in prison for his role in the July robbery of an Orange pizza delivery driver.
Rodney Leon Ward was sentenced Thursday to eight years in jail with five years suspended by Orange County Circuit Court Judge Daniel Bouton. Ward also received a 12 month suspended sentence for assault and battery and must repay $323.47 taken from the victim.
In the July 30 incident, authorities say Ward, 19-year-old Daniel Black, also of Orange, an 11-year-old and a 14-year-old are accused of requesting a delivery, then robbing the driver at gunpoint when he arrived at the residence.
