A Manassas Park man faces charges of burglary and assault early Sunday morning, according to town spokesman Wally Bunker.
Town police charged Daniel Robert Billows, 25, with breaking and entering and assault of a 26-year-old White Shop man about 4 a.m. Sunday, when police responded to a report of a possible domestic disturbance in the 1600 block of Birch Drive.
Billows’ estranged wife told police she was asleep when Billows allegedly started kicking and beating the 26-year-old victim, who was sleeping on the floor. Police said Billows entered the house through a basement window.
The victim, who wore a cast on his already broken leg, had a laceration to his face and his right eye was swollen shut, according to the report. Police searched the house but Billows had fled the scene. When they received word he had returned, officers took Billows into custody.
Billows was released on $5,000 bond and will appear in general district court July 23 at 8:30 a.m.
