An argument Wednesday afternoon landed a couple in jail facing drug and domestic assault charges, according to town spokesman Wally Bunker.
Sherry O’Sullivan, 36, and Daniel Rammel, 37, both of the 200 block of West Chandler Street, were both charged with possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia. O’Sullivan was also charged with felony domestic assault because of two prior convictions. Rammel was charged with misdemeanor domestic assault and battery.
Police responded to the disturbance call about 3 p.m. Wednesday.
Rammel, with a scratch on his forehead and a torn shirt, told police he and O’Sullivan had been drinking and arguing, according to the police report.
Rammel told police O’Sullivan had slapped him several times and O’Sullivan said Rammel choked her during the argument. According to the report, she had marks on her neck.
When police interviewed O’Sullivan in her home, Bunker said they noticed a possible drug pipe in a pair of sandals.
Rammel admitted the sandals were his but both Rammel and O’Sullivan denied ownership of the pipe. Police charged both with possession of the paraphernalia.
Rammel was placed in jail on $1,500 bond and is scheduled for arraignment in juvenile and domestic relations court July 9 at 8:30 a.m. O’Sullivan was held on $1,500 bond as well and is scheduled for arraignment in juvenile and domestic relations court July 10 at 8:30 a.m.

Not sure if I’m picking up on sarcasm there...but if they were smart enough to not do the stuff, or get caught, then they wouldn’t have to worry about it…

I am so glad the town hired someone to write crime reports for the Star Exponent. That’s really nice-for the Star Exponent.
