Police have arrested a 56-year-old man in connection with a Saturday night shooting that left both the victim and the accused shooter injured.
Charlie H. Pistole was arrested on two outstanding warrants, Culpeper County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Sgt. Jim Fox said this morning.
Pistole is charged with malicious wounding and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. He is being held without bond and may appear in court as early as today, said Fox.
Both Pistole and the unidentified 45-year-old victim were hospitalized as a result of the incident, which police said occurred around 9:15 p.m. in the 10600 block of Jones Lane off Eggborns-ville Road. According to Fox, when deputies arrived, they learned about a fight that may have led to the shooting.
A report on the victim’s condition was not immediately available this morning. Fox said on Sunday that Pistole’s unspecified injuries were likely sustained during the incident.
