Winter storm watch in effect for Culpeper

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for most of the area from Tuesday morning through Wednesday morning.
Culpeper, Fauquier, Madison, Orange and Rappahannock counties as well as Stafford and Spotsylvania can expect a slight chance of rain and sleet overnight Monday into Tuesday with lows in the lower 30s.
The chance of overnight precipitation is 30 percent, according to NWS.
Sleet and freezing rain are likely Tuesday morning, continuining into the afternoon. NWS predicts ice accumulation of up to one quarter of an inch and highs in the mid 30s with a 90 percent change of precipitation.
Rain and freezing rain will continue into Tuesday night before tapering off to just rain Wednesday, when temperatures will be higher, in the mid 40s.
