Culpeper Town Council holds its regular monthly meeting tonight at 7 in the county boardroom at 302 N. Main St.

Here are some highlights from the relatively light agenda:

A recommendation to spend nearly $99,000 for studies of increasing the water supply through Lake Catalpa and two old wells.

A recommendation to spend about $32,000 to repair the skate park in Yowell Meadow.

A recommendation to establish a 250th Anniversary Committee to plan next year’s celebration for the town of Culpeper’s big birthday; proposals thus far include a Grand Parade like the one held for the town’s bicentennial, a costumed ball, a street festival, fireworks, special Virginia license plates and a medallion. The town hopes to initiate citizen involvement through the committee.
