Missing hunter found in Madison County

Madison County Sheriff Erik Weaver says a hunter who had been reported missing Tuesday night was found Wednesday morning and is OK.
Weaver said his office received a call about the missing hunter in the Bluff Mountain area of Madison County around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. The Sheriff’s Office initiated a search and was assisted by several government and private organizations.
After the search was suspended early Wednesday morning due to hazardous terrain, the hunter was found just after 8 a.m. Wednesday. He had not suffered any life-threatening injuries. Weaver thanked all the agencies and volunteers who helped with the search.
Sheriff’s Office officials were not immediately available for further comment Wednesday afternoon.
