Get the most out of your hard-earned dollar at these area yard sales Saturday and support local organizations. The Lignum Ruritan Club will hold an indoor yard sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Lignum Ruritan Building on Lignum Road. The club will be making Copper Kettle Apple Butter for its annual fundraiser. Call Rozelle Amick, 423-1005.
The Richardsville Volunteer Fire Department is also sponsoring a community yard sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Richardsville Fire Department field. Going on Route 3 eastbound toward Lignum, turn left onto Route 647 then veer right onto Route 610. The fire house is on the left. Call 399-1744 or 399-1160.
BID ON SEAN TAYLOR’S ESTATE: Brooks Auction Transfer LLC is holding a public auction of the late Sean Taylor’s Ashburn estate today at 5 p.m. in Bealeton. Taylor was a safety for the Washington Redskins and was murdered in his Florida home in November. Included in the auction are 24 items ranging from Redskins pool balls to a spear gun to varied furnishings. The auction house is located at 12099 Marsh Road in Bealeton. Call 439-7273.
HISTORY AND WINE ... age better with time. The Museum of Culpeper History’s last Libations on the Lawn will be tonight at the museum. Stop by on your way home from work and start off the weekend with regional wine and nibbles made by the museum staff, plus local live music. Come from 5 to 7 p.m.; cost is $5 for members, $7 for non-members and free for designated drivers. Cost includes two glasses of wine, plus the glass. Call 829-5954.
