A 19-year-old Bealeton man was killed early Saturday morning following a single-vehicle crash in Fauquier County.
Rue Edward McGee III was driving on Route 846 less than a mile south of Route 610 when his 1996 Ford Truck entered a curve at a high rate of speed, ran off the left side of the road and struck a utility pole and a tree, according to Virginia State Police Spokesman Sgt. Les Tyler.
The incident occurred around 12:30 a.m.
McGee, who was not wearing a seatbelt, died at the scene.
“The common factor in recent accidents in the area is the lack of seatbelt usage,” Tyler said.
Trooper R.A. Stiltner investigated this incident.
This crash also caused a number of power outages in that area, Tyler added.

Rue you will be dearly missed.  My heart dropped when I received the phone call bringing the sad news of your death.  I have known you and your family for a long long time.  Words cannot express how sad I feel.  I remember how big your smile was last year at your high school graduation as you walked by me.  My heart is heavy.  Your mom and dad are in my heart and prayers.  I wish I could change it and bring you back.  Keep smiling Eddie.  We shall see you again one day.
