New Salem Baptist Church, Route 522 North, six miles from town, will have its annual Santa breakfast at 9 a.m. Santa arrives at 10 a.m.
Unicorn Winery, 489 Old Bridge Road, Amissville, announce Chilly vs. Chili from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Escape the cold and warm up with hearty chili. Sample great wines, great food and gorgeous gifts for holiday giving, and for yourself. Fee for food. Call 349-5885.
Gray Ghost Vineyards, 14706 Lee Highway, Amissville, announces its Holiday Open House from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., winery open until 5 p.m. Enjoy spectacular hors d’oeuvres paired with your favorite Gray Ghost wines, including the two time gold-medal winning 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon. Humane Society of Culpeper volunteers will be participating in Culpeper Petsmart photos with Santa between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Bring in your pet for a photo with Santa.
The Fauquier Community Band, directed by Mr. Herb Edwards, will present its annual holiday concert at 7 p.m. at the Warrenton Community Center, 430 East Shirley Ave., Warrenton. This is free and refreshments will be provided. Call 522-3111.
Friends of Culpeper County Library, announce a talk by Tim Lewis, executive director of the Piedmont Writers’ Institute will be held at 2 p.m. in the meeting room of the Culpeper Library. Join us for a unique look at the past that will help to reveal who and what we are today as Virginians.

Canaan Baptist Church, 14494 Shanktown Road, Reva, announces today at 3 p.m. it will have the lighting of the annual Lights of Love Tree. Sponsored by the CBC Women’s Ministry the tree will benefit the building fund. A love offering of $5 will exemplify a light on the tree of love. The Rev. Reese Washington, Pastor Shiloh Baptist Church, Brandy Station, will be delivering the gospel words along with the Men’s Chorus and church family. Lunch will be served after 11 a.m. service.
Gourdvine Baptist Church, 7103 Eggbornsville Road, Rixeyville, invites the public to its “Lottie Moon skit,” a story of Lottie Moon’s life as a Missionary in China will be acted out and monolog will be by WMU members. Lotties’ cookies, cider, tea and coffee served following.
