Oct. 12
Culpeper United Methodist Church is the host church for a community wide revival on Oct. 12 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Guest preacher will be the Rev. Ludwell Brown and music will be provided by a combination choir from Mt. Zion and Mt. Calvary Churches and our own Satellite 29 Youth Praise Band. A potluck dinner begins at 5 p.m., meat and drinks will be provided, please bring a dish or two to share. Also, join us at 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. services for the Great Day of Singing
New Salem Baptist Church will hold Church in the Park located at Yowell Meadow Park Oct. 12 at 11 a.m. Lunch will be served after the service.
Crooked Run Baptist Church, Route 15, invites the public to its homecoming services October 12 with Sunday morning worship service beginning at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Karl Krebik. After morning service we will have a lunch, followed by Gospel music featuring “Restoration,” a Southern Gospel group from the Barboursville area.
Shiloh Baptist Church, Brandy Station, invites the public to Johnson’s Family and Friends Day on Oct. 12 at 3 p.m.; a musical extravaganza. Come and enjoy the fellowship.
The Mass Choir of The Rising Zion Baptist Church, Jeffersonton, will celebrate its 38th choir anniversary on Oct. 12 at 3 p.m. Their guests will be the Sensatonal NN Gospel Singers, Voices of Merrifield and The Barbour Travelers of Clifton. All are invited.
Jeffersonton United Methodist Church, intersection of routes 621 and 602, Jeffersonton, invites the public to join us for our annual homecoming worship service beginning at 11 a.m. followed by a covered-dish luncheon in the Community Center. The guest speaker will be Butch Mills. There will be no services at Oak Shade UMC or Woodland UMC this Sunday.
Culpeper United Methodist Church, 1233 Oaklawn Drive, announces “Great Day of Singing” on Oct. 12 from 8 to 11 a.m. Music will be done by all ages and groups – choirs, bells and instruments – with a lot of special congregational singing as well.

The Spiritual Tidings Bible Way Church, 14216 Chestnut Fork Road, Culpeper, invites the public to its 14th Convocation at the church Oct. 16-19. The speakers will be: Thursday, at 7 p.m., Bishop William Barr, Friday, at 7 p.m., Elder Steven Archer, at 2 p.m. Youth Service with speaker, Elder Glen L. Rorie Jr.; at 8 p.m. speaker Elder Thomas Berger; Sunday, 11:30 a.m. speaker Deacon Aaron Rorie, at 3:30 p.m., Bishop Glen L. Rorie.
The Gospel Talent Showcase: Area youth are invited to showcase their talent in the first “The Gospel” Youth Talent Showcase Oct. 24, at 7:30 p.m. to be held at the Wayland Blue Ridge Baptist church, 15044 Ryland Chapel Road, Rixeyville. There will be five categories and winners will be awarded trophies. The registration fee is $10/per entry and applications must be received by Oct. 15. Canaan Baptist Church, 14494 Shanktown Road, Reva, invites everyone to a gospel concert concert Oct. 18 at 4:30 p.m. The dynamic “All Together Gospel Group,” featuring Brother Burkett Lyburn will be in concert.
Culpeper United Methodist Church, 1233 Oaklawn Drive, announces, “Four Seasons Ministry Opportunity” — reaching the un-churched in the topic for a Four Seasons Ministry day-long workshop, and will be held at the church on Oct. 18, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The regular cost of the retreat is $49. Woodville Baptist Church, 522 Sperryville Pike, between Culpeper and Sperryville, will be having its annual Fall Festival on Oct. 18 from 2 to 4 p.m. Come and join us and bring your children as we celebrate God’s harvest blessings on our community. We will have crafts, games, food and fun.
