FRIDAY

 Empowered to Reach Baptist Church, Aroda, announces that in August the church's Pastor, the Rev. Terence D. Johnson and his wife, Minister Sandra Johnson, will be going to Zimbabwe, Africa to share the gospel of Jesus Christ. They both ask for your prayers and support. Tidings Out of the East presents a Bible and Health Seminar beginning at 6:45 p.m. nightly, at Sycamore Park Elementary School, 451 Radio Lane, Culpeper.

SATURDAY
Providence Bible Church, Old Brandy Road., Young Life Culpeper offering seminars May 12 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., lunch will be provided. Young Life Culpeper is a mission community that reaches out to Culpeper middle and high school students, giving them the opportunity to hear about the love of God through Jesus Christ in a non-threatening and relational atmosphere. We offer Bible studies, discussion sessions, sponsor summer camps and weekend getaways for students. Call 727-0167 or email .

Abundant Life Christian Fellowship, 19103 Brick Church Road, Orange, will be discussing the topic, "Seminar on Tragedy and Death," beginning at 6 p.m. Our special guests will be a youth music group called "III For Him" as well as refreshments.  Please call Pastor Dwayne Pugh for more information at 672-1730.

Word of Life Worship Center invites everyone to worship with them at Old Forest Grove School House, Route 29 and Route 640 on May 12, 19, and 26 at 7 p.m. Saturday's special guest will be The Bourne Family in concert, with covered dish dinner from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Bring a covered dish and join us.

The ladies of Free Union Baptist Church will be hosting the second annual Women's and Daughters banquet, beginning at 5 p.m. at the Wayland Blue Ridge Community Center in Rixeyville. Our theme is Becoming a Titus 2 Women.  We will be having a fashion show and a grandmother, mother and daughter trio who will be sharing the gift that God has given them with us.  

SUNDAY
St. Stevens Baptist Church Women's Ministry will be in charge of Mother's Day service. Morning service will begin at 11:15 a.m. Sis. Velma Wiley (first lady of St. Stevens) will be giving the morning message.

Woodland United Methodist Church invites everyone to join us for our Sunday worship beginning at 11:15 a.m. The Rev. Lynn Wilbur's message will be, "Room For Greater Things." Scripture from John 12:23-26. The church is located on Woodland Church Road., US 522 N. Culpeper. Also hear the sermon at Jeffersonton UMC at 9 a.m. and at Oak Shade UMC at 10 a.m.

Wonderful Lighthouse Worship Center invites everyone to attend its first Mother's Day Brunch.  The men of the church will be cooking brunch for all the ladies of the church.  At 11 a.m., Pastor Jack Rutherford will lead the Sunday service and right after the service the fellowship will start.  The church is located on Waterford Road, Rixeyville.  Call 703-937-3561.

The women of Free Union Baptist Church will be hosting its annual Women's Day program at 11 a.m. with Sis. Irene Ford being the guest speaker for the morning worship at 3 p.m.  Sis. Mary Peeler, NAACP field operator will be the guest speaker. If you would like to listen to her later or share with someone, we will have CD's available for purchase or call 825-4643 to place an order.  Dinner will be served.

Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, Tanners, invites you to a study of Evangelism (Taking It To The Streets). The Rev. Nathaniel Butler of Good Hope Baptist Church, Norman, will be the facilitator. Prayer and praise will begin at 7:30 p.m.  Call the church at 672-9065.

New Beginnings Worship Center

Antioch Baptist Church Health Ministry,
202 South West St., Culpeper, invites you to the annual Health Fair, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church. The theme will be "Controlling Your Cholesterol." Guest speaker will be Barbara Patton RN-Diabetic Educator of Culpeper Regional Hospital.
