Culpeper United Methodist Church, 1233 Oaklawn Drive, announces “Summer under the Oaks.” Gathering time is Thursdays at noon to accommodate those who work in town and would like to participate. Join us in discussing the past Sunday’s sermon. Bring chair or blanket and brown bag lunch and we’ll meet around 5 to 10 minutes after noon. Bealeton Baptist Church located at 11172 Remington Road, Bealeton, around the corner from Cedar Lee Middle School. Best-selling Christian author Beth Moore will deliver a message to an estimated 80,000 women in 600 churches across the U.S. on Aug. 1 and 2, via satellite from Louisville, Ky. This simulcast will be broadcast live at Bealeton Baptist Church on Aug. 1 from 7:30 to 10 p.m. and Aug. 2 from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tickets for this two-day event are $25. Culpeper United Methodist Church, 1233 Oaklawn Drive, announces on Sept. 18 through 21, the Communicating For Healthy Relationships conference has been scheduled. Sept. 18 will be a pre-conference date for couples called “Building Healthy Marriages.” Registration will begin soon.

Bethel Baptist Church, Amissville, invites you to an evening of musical enjoyment on Aug. 2 at 4 p.m. The Voices of Shiloh, Millwood, Va., will be in full concert. The Bethel Baptist Choir sponsors this program. The Rev. Homer E. Jones is pastor.
Culpeper Baptist Church’s Saturday night service, “Overflow,” will be held in the church sanctuary beginning at 6 p.m., and will feature contemporary worship with praise music and a time of fellowship. New Fellowship Christian Center will host its 16th annual Back-to-School Jamboree Aug. 2 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. The event will be held at the Madison Primary School, Madison. There will be free food, games, lots of prizes, a storyteller, a moon bounce, a motivational speaker, the DARE train and much more to make it an exciting day for young and old. Each child will get books and a bag of school supplies to take home. Children under 5 years old must be accompanied by an adult. The White Oak Run Baptist Church will have its annual Homecoming Service Aug. 3 at 11 a.m. The guest preacher will be the Rev. Kelvin Hawkins of the St. John’s Baptist Church of Keswick, along with his choir and congregation.
Glenn Murray, a cowboy preacher from Casper, Wyo., and his associate pastors, Great, Traveler, and Sparky, will be at the Foothills of Faith Farm in Reva on Sunday afternoon, Aug. 3, at 3:30 p.m. to teach horse training techniques and give the Bible message from John 17, “United in One.” Event is at the intersection of Route 29 and Route 609 (Hoover Road) south of Culpeper on the Foothills of Faith Farm arena on Route 605 (Parish Road) in Reva.
