Women In Worship Conference 2008: Registration is now open for the Women In Worship Conference to be held in Fredericksburg, on September 26-27. The conference is sponsored by Wayland Blue Ridge Women’s Auxiliary and Friends. 

The guest speaker is Cynthia Brazelton of Victory Christian Ministries, Washington, D.C., the Rev. Tammie Armstead Pulliam and the Rev. Janice Steels of Victory in Christ Ministries.  Musical guests include Missy “Octavia” Yates and Psalmist Eric Armstead.

Hazel River Assembly of God, Rixeyville, announces that each Friday night it hosts”Friday Night Out.” We invite all teenagers from grades 6 to 12 to come every Friday night from 3 to 9 p.m. This event is for teens only. There will be free dinner provided. Call 937-6041.

      July 26
The Culpeper Aglow Community Lighthouse will meet at St. Stephens Episcopal Church, downtown Culpeper, 115 N. East St., on July 26, starting at 10 a.m.  Free child care is being provided. For more information call 825-6976.

Love and Faithfullness Church, 321 South Royal Ave., Front Royal, will feature Danny Figgins in concert July 26 at 7 p.m.

The Chestnut Grove Baptist Church of Brightwood will celebrate the 12th Pastoral Anniversary of the Rev. Dr. Bernardo Snipes on July 26, at 4 p.m.
Our guest singers will bethe Rev. Frank Lewis Sr. and the Antioch Baptist Church Male Chorus, along with special guests “Nate and The New Generation” of Washington, DC. The Chestnut Grove Baptist Church Mass Choir of Brightwood will also sing.

Everyone is invited to worship with us. Refreshments will be served.

Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, 2802 Raccoon Ford Road, True Blue, invites you to join us for our annual Fun Day on July 26, from noon to 5 p.m.

Bible Baptist Church, 1121 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, will be having a free carwash on July 26, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Any donations are welcome and will be used for our teen mission trip.

The New Life Anonited Ministries West will be having a yard sale July 26 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 15532 Montanus Parkway, Culpeper, located behind Target and Staples.

Proceeds will benefit the building fund and the Charles Lake Scholarship Fund.

Culpeper Baptist Church’s Saturday night service, “Overflow,“ will be held in the church sanctuary beginning at 6 p.m., and will feature contemporary worship with praise music and a time of fellowship.

The Sunday morning contemporary service July 27 begins at 8:30 and a traditional worship begins at 11 a.m.

Woodland United Methodist Church, Woodland Church Road, US 522 north, Culpeper, invites everyone to join us for Sunday worship beginning at 11:15 a.m. The Rev. Barbara Jamieson’s message will be, “God’s Spirit.” Scripture is from Romans 8:12-17.

Oak Shade United Methodist Church, Route 229 north, Rixeyville, invites you to join us for our Sunday worship beginning at 10 a.m. The Rev. Sharon Forbes’ message will be, “Seeds and Soil.” Scripture is from Matt. 13:1-9, 18-23.

The Hopewell United Methodist Church, Lignum, will hold its annual homecoming, July 27. Worship begins at 11:15 a.m. led by the Rev. Paul Davis. Lunch follows immediately after worship. 

The afternoon song service begins at 1:30 p.m.  Music by Bob & Charlotte Fuqua, Knox Presbyterian Adult Choir of Fairfax, The F.A.S.T. Boys, Hopewell Adult Choir and old favorite hymns will be a part of the service.  Everyone is invited.

Antioch Baptist Church, Madison, announces its annual “Homecoming/Revival” will be held July 27 through Aug. 1. Services will begin at 11 a.m.
Lunch will served following morning service.

The afternoon service will begin at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Halliard Brown, of Zion Baptist Church, North Garden, Va., as our special guest along with his choir, congregation and ushers.

Hazel River Assembly of God in Rixyeville, invites you to bring your kids for a night of fun. Hazel River Kids Ministry will watch your kids, ages 4 to 11 for free every Tuesday night from 5 to 8 p.m. in our activities center. The Free Union Baptist Church Vacation Bible School will be held July 29 through Aug. 2 along with other area churches from 6:45 p.m. to 8 p.m. Classes will be held for all ages. We will conclude the VBS with an activity day on Aug. 2 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. which will include a cookout, volleyball, swimming, relay races and much more.
