July 11
Hazel River Assembly of God, Rixeyville, announces “Friday Night Out.” We invite all teenagers from grade 6 to 12 to come every Friday night from 3 to 9 p.m. There will be free dinner provided. Call 937-6041.

Culpeper United Methodist Church, 1233 Oaklawn Drive will have Friday night at the movies July 11 at 6:30 p.m. Also De Colores Community meeting will take place July 26 at 6 p.m.

July 11-12
Kingdom Daughters Empowerment conference, 121 E. Culpeper Street, Culepper, “The King Remembered Me,” will be held July 11 at 7:20 p.m. with co-pastor, Carol Simpson; July 12 at 8:30 a.m., “Morning Glory Prayer Service” with conference facilitators, Pastor Gregory Simpson and Pastor Carmen Hayes; keynote speaker will be the Rev. Denise Wilson, Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Herndon.

July 12
Gourdvine Baptist Church, 7103 Eggbornsville Road, Rixeyville, invites the public to its Vacation Bible School kickoff/registration July 12 from 5 to 8 p.m. Rain date is July 13.  There will be a waterslide, games for all ages. cake walk, hot dogs, snow cones, popcorn and more. Also we will be doing VBS photos for the family in remember and crafts.  Call 937-2171.

Culpeper Baptist Church’s Saturday night service, “Overflow,” will be held in the church sanctuary beginning at 6 p.m., and will feature contemporary worship with praise music and a time of fellowship. The Sunday morning contemporary service July 13 begins at 8:30 and a traditional worship begins at 11 a.m. Call the church office at 825-8192 for more information.

Culpeper United Methodist Church, 1233 Oaklawn Drive invites you to an Old Time Hymn Sing on July 12 at 6:30 p.m. sponsored by our mid-week small group, Golden Friends. Play “name that hymn,” and learn about the stories behind some of the wonderful songs we love to sing. There will also be time for requests.

Praise the Lord, July 12 at Reva Fire Hall, U.S. Route 29 south of Culpeper. Doors open at 5 p.m. and program starts at 6 p.m. Featuring Culpeper’s own Beula Baptist Men’s Chorus, of Eggbornsville and Sister Octavia Yates, also the Rev. H. L. Howard from Fairfax. Special guests will be The Redeeming Souls of Washington, D.C. The cost will be $10 in advance, $12 at the door. Children under 12 free.

July 12 – 19
Temple of Deliverance HCG, Inc., 5756 Zachary Taylor Hwy, Mineral, 894-4458 Elder Lynn W. Beanum, pastor, announces:  July 12 and 19, fish fry/bake sale and car wash at the temple at 10 a.m.; July 12, fashion show at the Temple at 6 p.m. Door prizes will be given away during the show. Light refreshments will be served afterwards.

July 13
Main Uno Baptist Church, Madison with Pastor Dr. Darnell M. Lundy announce its “Family and Friend’s Day” with guest preacher, the Rev. Dr. Floyd Blackwell of Miracle Temple Baptist Church, Newport New, Va. Services begin at 11 a.m.
St. James Baptist Church, Bealeton, under the leadership of Pastor Ship Brigett, will be celebrating their “Deacon and Deaconess Day” July 13 at 3 p.m. Guest speaker will be the Rev. Rodney Smith and his congregation from Mt. Nebo Baptist Church, Marshall. Dinner will be served after the service.
Woodland United Methodist Church, on Woodland Church Road, U.S. 522 North, Culpeper, invites everyone to join us for our Sunday worship service beginning at 11:15 a.m. The Rev. Hazel River Assembly of God in Rixyeville, invites the public to bring your kids for a night of fun. Hazel River Kids Ministry will watch your kids, ages 4-11 for free every Tuesday night from 5 to 8 p.m. in our activities center.
