June 27
Hazel River Assembly of God, Rixeyville, announces it have “Friday Night Out.” We invite all teenagers from grades 6 to 12 to come every Friday night from 3 to 9 p.m. for teens only. There will be free dinner provided. Call 937-6041.

June 28
Bible Baptist Church Teen Group is having a yard and bake sale to raise funds for its missions trip on June 28 at 1121 Sperryville Pike, from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Plate lunches will be served. Main Uno Baptist Church, Madison, along with Pastor Darnell M. Lundy, announce Armor Bearer will host a talent/fashion show on June 28 at 4 p.m. at the church.
The Culpeper AGLOW Community Lighthouse, 115 N. East St. downtown Culpeper, will meet on June 28 at St. Stephens Episcopal Church at 10 a.m. This fellowship is for all women and there is free child care. Call 825-6976.

Hopewell Baptist Church, Sperryville with the Rev. Garry Brown, Pastor-elect, and the Rev. Anna Allsberry, association pastor, invite the public to celebrate Friends and Family Day (Oriental Style), June 28, starting at noon on our church lawn. Bring a home-baked good of your choice and join us in an old fashioned cake walk. Activities for all ages, some for prizes, some for fun.

Kingdom of God Deliverance Ministries, 121 E. Culpeper, along with Pastor Gregory Simpson, announce its fourth annual Men’s Conference, “Men of Purpose and Power,” June 28, at 10 a.m.

Culpeper United Methodist Church: Women’s annual spaghetti dinner will be held on June 28 from 5 to 7 p.m.  Ticket prices are $7 for adults, $4 for children, and free for children under 5 years of age. Tickets available in the fellowship hall or chapel.

Culpeper Baptist Church’s Saturday night service, “Overflow,” will be held in the church sanctuary beginning at 6 p.m., and will feature contemporary worship with praise music led by Justin Harding and a time of fellowship. Dave Wheatley, minister of youth, will have part two of a three-part series titled “Scrapbook,” based on Col. 3:13.

The Sunday morning contemporary service June 29 begins at 8:30 and a traditional worship begins at 11 a.m. Pastor Ted Fuson’s message at both services is titled “Scrapbook: The Freedom of Forgiveness.” The scripture passage is: Rom. 5:1-10. Call the church office at 825-8192 for more information

June 29
Culpeper United Methodist Church, 1233 Oaklawn Drive announces it will have a healing and communion services with special guest, Mary Tauss will be offered June 29 at 6 p.m. The church welcomes all to our Sunday morning services and Sunday School. We have a traditional service at 8 a.m.; a contemporary service at 9:29 a.m., and a choir-led traditional worship at 11 a.m. For the month of June we have been discussing characters of the Old Testament. June 29 our sermon will be “Eyes Wide Opened.” Scripture is Genesis 3:1-13, 22-24. Come watch our characters come to life.

There will be a gospel music benefit at the Flint Hill fire hall June 29 at 3 p.m.  Musical guest will be Evangelist David Clanagan, Shelly Cook-Knighting, Jack and Wanda Rutherford and Ashley. Special guest will be one of the best blue grass gospel groups in Northern Va., “Bull Run Grass.” Also starting at 1 p.m. there will be a bake sale.
