From Beethoven to Zappa: Renowned guitarist Frank Vignola will return to the Theatre at Washington, Va., March 1 at 8 p.m. for an evening of jazz guitar with his new ensemble and special guests, including Aaron Weinstein on violin, Vinny Raniolo on guitar, Pete Coco on bass and Rich Zukor on percussion. The group will play selections from Beethoven to Gershwin to Zappa, as well as originals. Tickets are $20 for adults and $5 for students 18 and younger. Call 675-1253 or e-mail .

Culpeper Idol-: Not quite, but here are a few live acts performing around town this weekend. Check out the Eli Cook Band playing heavy metal blues tonight at The Pub, with classic rock band Mudlark and Bob Crerie playing March 1, both $5. Call 825-5744.
