Celebrate African American history
Renowned storyteller Dylan Pritchett will be joining Culpeper County Library in its celebration of Black History Month by providing a special performance Feb. 16 at 2 p.m. This family event will be filled with multicultural stories that are sure to be entertaining. The George Washington Carver Regional High School Alumni Association, Inc. is sponsoring its annual African American History Program Feb. 17 in Rapidan at 3 p.m. The guest speaker will be King Salem Khalfani, executive director of the Virginia State Conference of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.

Remembering your past Valentines
The Spiritual Care Support Ministry Center is hosting a Valentine Tea Feb. 16 at 2 p.m. This is an opportunity to meet and chat with others who are grieving the loss of their "Valentine," and to hear of God's love that is offered. Valentine's delight
Gray Ghost Vineyards, which recently won two awards in the San Francisco Chronicle wine competition for its 2006 Reserve Chardonnay and 2006 Adieu dessert wine, is hosting a Valentine's Day-themed tasting Feb. 16 and 17 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Enjoy an array of chocolate desserts and Cabernet for $15 a person. Includes unlimited desserts, tastings of gold-medal reds and a Valentine glass.

Dance the night away
The Remington Lion's Club is having a Sweethearts Dance Feb. 16 from 8 p.m. to midnight with music by Southern Persuasion. $10 cover, BYOB. Call Millie 439-9229.

Dinner date
The Annual Sweetheart Dinner at Culpeper United Methodist Church has been moved to Feb. 19 at 6:30 p.m. with music by Zion's Song from Orange. Tickets are $25 per couple and are available at the church between services or in the church office until Feb. 17. Childcare will be provided.
