Celebrate St. Paddy's Day: At an Irish pub this weekend with a few live acts and some traditional fare. But watch out for those pesky leprechauns. Start the festivities tonight at Brandon's Place at 7 p.m. with the Possum Ridge Band. Hear The Gourdvine String Band Saturday from 8 to 11 p.m., plus David Gilmore 11 p.m. to 2 a.m. On Sunday, enjoy an Irish music session from 3 to 7 p.m. and Monday The Gourdvine String Band will play again from 7 to 10 p.m. with Side Venture from 9 p.m. to midnight. You can also try a delicious Irish stew at Brandon's today through Monday, corned beef and cabbage Saturday through Monday and Kegs 'n Eggs Sunday starting at 11 a.m. 110 East Cameron St., call 829-1025.
Lock, stock and barrel: Culpeper wine enthusiasts, this is what you've been waiting for. Gray Ghost Vineyards will hold its annual Barrel Tasting and Silent Auction March 15 and 16 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Gray Ghost opens its barrels only once a year, so take advantage of the chance to taste developing wines directly from the barrels and experience the art of blending.
