‘Where is God Amidst the Bombs?’
Retired Naval Chaplain and CCHS graduate C. Neal Goldsborough will be at The Corner Shelf May 20 to sign copies of his booklet, “Where is God Amidst the Bombs? A Priest’s Reflections from the Combat Zone” from 2 to 4:30 p.m.
Goldsborough grew up in St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church before attending VCU and later, the Virginia Theological Seminary in 1981. He worked in two small, rural churches in Hanover County and dedicated 29 years to the U.S. Naval Reserve.

It’s electrifying!
The Friends of the Culpeper Library will host a brunch with author Caroline Kettlewell May 18 at 12 p.m., with a discussion from Kettlewell at 1 p.m.
Kettlewell’s book, “Electric Dreams,” has been described as “the best adult book for high school students.” The story traces a school competition to create a roadworthy alternate fuel vehicle in North Carolina in the 1990s.
The cost for the brunch is $8 and seating is limited. Tickets are available at the library.
Journey back in time through song
Listen to hymns from German settlers who first came to Germanna more than 200 years ago and experience psalms sung by English settlers to the Piedmont May 17 at 2:30 p.m.
“Sing the Story,” a musical journey celebrating three centuries of America’s religious heritage, and the Annual Heritage Concert, is a collaboration of song and celebration between the Museum of Culpeper History and the Hartland College choirs.
The event is free to all and will be held at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church. A prelude to the concert will begin at 2 p.m. with light refreshments immediately following. For more information, contact the museum office at 829-1749.
CCPS spring concert
With this year being the last year of CCHS being the only high school in town, Clore is asking CCHS alumni to bring their instruments to the CCHS Spring Concert May 18.
The concert begins at 3 p.m. and is open to the public. Tickets are available for a donation of $5. The graduating seniors will be recognized at the end of the concert.
The program is scheduled to include:
