Grab a "monster" sandwich this Friday and catch a few tunes along the way. Groove Dog recording artist Buddy Parker will play a solo, one-hour acoustic set beginning at 9 p.m. March 7 at The Stable. 129 East Culpeper St., call 727-2007.

Jazz up the month of March with the bluesy-jazzy Eli Cook Band at a Rock Academy-sponsored concert at The Strasburg Theatre March 8 from 8 p.m. to midnight. Also performing is Horndog. Tickets $10; 18 and older.
Get ready to spend the day rockin' at "A Taste of Music" festival of music and arts, presented by CCHS student Brett Jenkins. The festival will be April 12 from 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and will feature the CCHS step team and jazz band, JMU's female a capella group The BluesTones, Christian band Vortex, Rude Buddha, CCHS senior band RATH, A.O.N., piano-led band The Ryan Benyo Experience, acoustic master Aubrey Driggers, local guru David Leckie Gilmore, all-female Culpeper rockers KRUSH, and The Possum Ridge String Band, as well as various art displays. Tickets are $10 and benefit Culpeper Band Boosters, Windmore Foundation for the Arts and Parent-Rock Organization. The festival will be held at Culpeper County High School. Call 219-5067.
